The A.P.H.M. market

In the afternoon of Thursday 1st December, Evelyne, Monique and Nicole, three voluntary workers from the Association "Ecoute Cancer Réconfort" took part in the A.P.H.M. market at the Princess Grace Hospital. At the A.P.H.M. (Hospital Staff Association of Monaco) market, our three volunteers sold items created at the Wellness Centre in order to promote "Ecoute Cancer Réconfort". The sale raised the funds necessary for the association to continue its action.

Dinner for volunteers

Every month , volunteers from the centre meet for dinner to share some time together in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere and to get to know each other outside the work environment. On Friday 18th November, Katia organised dinner at the "Beaulieu" restaurant where guests were able to enjoy adelicious meal to the rock sounds of the 80s.

The Christmas market

The Association will have a stand at the Christmas Market on Quai Albert I from Thursday 17th to Monday 21st December and will be displaying all the craftwork made at the Wellness Centre by patients and volunteers. Come with family and friends to choose your Christmas gifts and decorations.

Gala evening on Friday 2nd December

The Gala evening will take place at 8 p.m. on Friday 2nd December at the Chaumière restaurant. The menu is as follows: For the aperitif: Champagne and appetizers Flaked crab, citrus fruits John Dory with shellfish, fennel... Mont Blanc Gateau Petits-fours Places are available for the evening gala, including a special surprise and a raffle, at 65 € per head. Charity Lunch in Monte-Carlo Golf Club

A charity lunch was held at the Monte Carlo Golf Club on Tuesday 10th May 2011 in aid of our association "Ecoute Cancer Réconfort". On the initiative of Ms Sophie Rey, a charity lunch was held at the Monte Carlo Golf Club on Tuesday 10th May 2011 in aid of the association "Ecoute Cancer Réconfort". The event was honoured by the presence of Miss Charlene Wittstock. Welcomed on her arrival by Mr Henry Rey, President of the Monte Carlo Golf Club and Ms Adeline Garino, President of “Ecoute Cancer Réconfort”, Miss Wittstock joined the guests on the terrace of the Club where a welcome cocktail was served. Ms Garino warmly thanked all those in attendance to whom a presentation on the association’s goals and activities was given. To accompany the lunch, a prize draw took place to select the winner of the magnificent watch donated by Ms Caroline Jame, director of the Christian Dior jewellers in place Vendôme. The steel, diamond and mother-of-pearl watch belongs to Dior’s "d" collection. At the end of the day, all the generous benefactors were given an orchid and were photographed together with Miss Charlene Wittstock, a photo which shows how pleased the ladies were to meet for such a noble cause. This token of generosity will enable the activities implemented on a daily basis for cancer sufferers and their families to be continued more efficiently and with greater peace of mind by the association "Ecoute Cancer Réconfort".

The Soroptimist Club takes action for ECR

Fund-raising evening in aid of "Ecoute Cancer Réconfort" organised by the Soroptimist Club. A dinner-lecture will be held at 7.30 p.m. on 12th May 2011 at the Saint Benoît Restaurant. The evening will begin with a talk entitled “The Golden Lotus” or the tradition of bound feet in China presented by Chantal Daupez...

Cheque handed – December 2010

December 2010 Cheque handed over by the Principality of Monaco’s Chamber of Experts Mr Rémy Bogo, President of the Principality of Monaco’s Professional Chamber of Experts recently handed over a cheque for the benefit of “Ecoute Cancer Réconfort”, to Ms Adeline Garino, President of the association. This token of generosity will enable the daily action carried out by ECR volunteers to be continued with greater peace of mind and efficiency.

18th annual evening event for “Ecoute Cancer Réconfort”

The 18th annual evening event of the association “Ecoute Cancer Réconfort” took place on Friday 3rd December at the Chaumière restaurant in the Exotic Garden. After a welcoming address by Adeline Garino, ECR President, who pointed out the services offered by the association, in particular by the "Wellness" Centre, many guests took part in the convivial evening during which a delicious meal prepared by the chef, Sylvain, was served. Those attending the event included the President of the National Council and Ms François Robillon, Ms Virginie Cotta, Secretary General of the Department of Social Affairs and Health, representing Mr Stéphane Valéri, Mr Henri Doria, first deputy mayor, the Director of the Oceanographic Museum and Ms Robert Calcagno, the Director of the CHPG and Ms Patrick Bini, the Director of the Social Funds and Ms Jean-Jacques Campana, Doctor Georges Garnier, Head of the Day Hospital at the CHPG… Funds were raised thanks to a tombola with prizes generously donated by shop owners and which will help the association to continue its activities. The evening took place in a musical setting, compered by DJ Thierry Noll. All the ladies attending the event were delighted to receive a rose offered at the end of the evening by the florist « Allione ».

Lunch at Cotton’s

Lunch at Cotton’s in St Martin de Peille We will meet up at 11 a.m. Meeting place: In the village square How to take part: Lunch: 35€ To reserve: please send a cheque made out to E.C.R. by 14th June at the latest Lunch will be followed by a bowls competition. The day: The outing was highly successful. 43 friends joined us for a lovely day in the sun, the first day of summer. Some of them enjoyed a game of petanque. The winners were Jo and Elie, followed by Odette and Pierre. After a relaxing aperitif on the terrace, everyone sat down to enjoy a delicious lunch. At the end of the meal, Mélissa, Marianne and Elie’s granddaughter performed 3 songs in English, much to the delight of the audience. As a pleasant conclusion to the day, some decided to play bowls again, some cards, whilst others simply relaxed in the sun.... At 5 p.m., after several goodbye hugs, it was time for everyone to head home.

Date: Thursday 10th June 2010 at 8 p.m. Location:St Nicolas' Church in Fontvieille Concert in aid of the Association « Ecoute Cancer Réconfort » A concert performed by the string ensemble ArcoMusica conducted by Serge Stapffer in aid of the association "Ecoute Cancer Réconfort" took place at 8 p.m. on Thursday 10th June 2010 in Saint Nicolas' Church in Fontvieille. Works by Mozart, Bach, Vivaldi, Brahms, Sibelius, among others, were performed with brio by the string ensemble made up of twenty or so musicians.
