18th annual evening event for “Ecoute Cancer Réconfort”
14 December 2010The 18th annual evening event of the association “Ecoute Cancer Réconfort” took place on Friday 3rd December at the Chaumière restaurant in the Exotic Garden. After a welcoming address by Adeline Garino, ECR President, who pointed out the services offered by the association, in particular by the "Wellness" Centre, many guests took part in the convivial evening during which a delicious meal prepared by the chef, Sylvain, was served. Those attending the event included the President of the National Council and Ms François Robillon, Ms Virginie Cotta, Secretary General of the Department of Social Affairs and Health, representing Mr Stéphane Valéri, Mr Henri Doria, first deputy mayor, the Director of the Oceanographic Museum and Ms Robert Calcagno, the Director of the CHPG and Ms Patrick Bini, the Director of the Social Funds and Ms Jean-Jacques Campana, Doctor Georges Garnier, Head of the Day Hospital at the CHPG… Funds were raised thanks to a tombola with prizes generously donated by shop owners and which will help the association to continue its activities. The evening took place in a musical setting, compered by DJ Thierry Noll. All the ladies attending the event were delighted to receive a rose offered at the end of the evening by the florist « Allione ».

Lunch at Cotton’s
23 June 2010Lunch at Cotton’s in St Martin de Peille We will meet up at 11 a.m. Meeting place: In the village square How to take part: Lunch: 35€ To reserve: please send a cheque made out to E.C.R. by 14th June at the latest Lunch will be followed by a bowls competition. The day: The outing was highly successful. 43 friends joined us for a lovely day in the sun, the first day of summer. Some of them enjoyed a game of petanque. The winners were Jo and Elie, followed by Odette and Pierre. After a relaxing aperitif on the terrace, everyone sat down to enjoy a delicious lunch. At the end of the meal, Mélissa, Marianne and Elie’s granddaughter performed 3 songs in English, much to the delight of the audience. As a pleasant conclusion to the day, some decided to play bowls again, some cards, whilst others simply relaxed in the sun.... At 5 p.m., after several goodbye hugs, it was time for everyone to head home.

A dream stay at the Grand Hotel in Cap Ferrat
16 April 2009During the “Monaco Challenge” on Sunday 21st March 2010, members of Lance Armstrong’s “Livestone Foundation” took part in the race. Through Katarina Sporrek from Monaco-Stars-Events, the Foundation asked for a list of ECR's patients so that they could take part in the prize draw it was organising. The prize was a two-night weekend break for two at the Grand Hotel in Cap Ferrat, including two gala dinners, breakfast and a spa treatment. Halima was the lucky winner. The following photos show how delighted she was.
