Naturopathy?
What is naturopathy?
Naturopathy is recognised by WHO as the 3rd most popular form of traditional medicine after Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine. It does not replace in any way conventional medicine. Naturopathy does not diagnose, nor does it treat an illness and is not involved in medical treatment.
A naturopath works on imbalances in the body, adopting a holistic approach for each individual. He/she takes into account an individual’s needs from every aspect: Physical, emotional, psychological and energetic.
Training includes knowledge of how the human body works from an anatomical and physiological point of view, as well as learning ten or so techniques to optimise results. Here are a few examples of the techniques used:
- Food (nutrition and micronutrition, seasonal diets…)
- Psycho-emotional techniques (relaxation, stress management…)
- Physical activity (gentle exercise, stretching, walking…)
- Manual reflexology (foot and whole-body reflexology, Knap points…) and energy-based techniques (magnetism…) etc….
The goal is to help the individual play a direct role in the quality of his/her life and well-being, to put back meaning in day-to-day activities in order to promote a genuine Ecology of Oneself.
At the Espace Mieux-Etre Katia, a naturopath, uses energy-healing and reflexology techniques which require an openness to listening and deep understanding to capture all the subtle manifestations of the physical and emotional state.
With the active participation of the individual, through the breath, breathing and visualisation, these techniques help to:
- Reconnect oneself to one’s body
- Release sensitive areas and emotional blocks
- Relieve pain
- Boost the energy flow
- Alleviate stress and anxiety
- Promote rest and relaxation
- Develop a positive feeling.
Lastly, Katia provides the keys to put into practice on a daily basis to sustain the benefits of the session and develop maximum autonomy.
By making a donation, you will help the Association to provide a listening ear to patients and to purchase high-technology equipment in order to continue to improve their comfort.
Become a volonteer
Volunteering is a commitment, a well-thought-out decision, a desire which matures deep within you, and which one day takes on a special meaning. (more…)

The Association’s activities are many - to listen and to help cancer patients and their families in particular. We need dedicated members and volunteers to provide them with all the comfort necessary.
